Yup it's that time again for the EPIC the Sustainable Living Expo.  We are proud as ever to share our booth with El Naturalista again this year and we'll have lots of lovely goodies to look through as well as as a contest for a free pair of shoes and a free We3 Designs top.

Also new in our webstore is the galvanize tank.  This super interesting top has a simple silhouette but an extra twisted layer of fabric is sewn into the neckline and twisted before being sewn into the slanted seam at the bottom to create texture. A great friend of ours and amazing musician Tonye Aganaba was featured this week on Urban Rush for the All Love Album that she has spearheaded to fund raise for the children of our dear departed friend Randy Ponzio.  I was lucky enough to collaborate on 2 tracks for this album so be sure to check it out!  She looked amazing in a pair of our Recital Pants in olive which lucky for you are on sale right now as we transition out of Fall/Winter into Spring/Summer.

Super versatile this style has a scarf like sections caught in to the shoulders with epaulets that can be worn a few different ways.

Alright my lovelies... I know the weather is still a little dicey but there's been some beautiful mild evenings here in Vancouver and I can feel spring is on its' way!  We have started receiving styles and they'll be posted on the web just as soon as they come in.  New in the web store is the Couture Racerback Essential.  A great tank and indispensable for layering.

Production is well under way for Spring Summer and we'll be receiving some stock shortly.  For now to whet your whistle check out a few of the shots from our photo shoot with the ever amazing Angela Fama.

This has been a heart breaking week for us at We3 Designs and twigg&hottie boutique as we lost a very dear friend to us, Randy Ponzio.  He was an amazing musician and man who wholeheartedly believed in and perpetuated the ideas of love, helping others and community.  He has three beautiful children and there has been a trust set up for them to help out  the family in these trying times.  If you are thinking of doing any donating this holiday season please go to Randy's website  where you can check out his amazing music, videos and if you can, please donate.

It is inevitable: with the Fall months comes colder weather.  I have been living in my Merino Wool essentials as I love that they are warm and cozy but not bulky.  They'll also make great layers underneath all those sweaters when the Winter decides to show her face.

Well, we hate to admit it, but there is no denying that it is now September and Fall is just around the corner. We have started to receive our FW11 stock and you can check it out now in our webstore.

There are several pieces in our collection this season that can be worn multiple ways such as our treble tunic which can be worn completely upside down to make a top!

So we have some very exciting news:  Our boutique in Vancouver, B.C., twigg&hottie  is getting a facelift next week.  It has been eight years since we opened our doors and it is time to freshen up our space to showcase not only our house line We3 Designs, but also the 60 or so other local, Canadian and sustainable designers that we support there.

We are incredibly honored to be working with the folks from Makeuse, a multidisciplinary product design studio who specialize in re-using, re-purposing, and recycling materials.  We will be closed from Monday the 8th until we re-open Monday the 15th (cross your fingers for us!). 

 If you are in the Vancouver area swing by before we close to scoop up amazing deals on absolutely everything in store.  Yes that means jewellery and accessories too!

We are more than pleased to announce that We3 Designs has joined up with Kim Cathers of Kdon and 8 other local Vancouver designers to be a part of the Haiku Studios showroom in Gastown.  Each Friday, Haiku Studios opens it doors to the public from 9am -9pm. With a featured designer every week, there is always a reason to pop in. We invite you to join us for a glass of wine, a chat with your favorite artist and to enjoy a uniquely intimate retail experience.

We are incredibly excited to be carried in a brand new shop that has opened in Lunenburg, NS called luvly.  They focus on Canadian designed product with an interesting store concept.  Each designer has their own specific section of the store, complete with photos and information about the designers and their process.  We love that they are looking to draw the connection between the end product and the people that make them, so that customers can know the story behind the brands.  Thanks so much for including We3 Designs in your lovely shop!

There is a great little food blog Called the Vibrant Fare that featured one of our Kimono Sleeve Essentials in their Cinco De Mayo photo shoot!  This blog features great recipes, photos and interviews with local Vancouverites talking about their food fetishes.  This month: Avocados.

If you didn't already know, there is an amazing Sustainable Living Expo that is happening in Vancouver called EPIC May 13-15th and we are going to participate.  There is a really wide range of products and services with booths from fashion, to food, to house wares and everything in between.

The amazing folks at El Naturalista Shoes are sharing a booth with us again this year and we will have a special deal on for our Kimono Sleeve Essentials (most flattering silhouette ever!) and our Bend Boleros (Can be worn frontwards or backwards!).

We'd love to see you there supporting all things sustainable!

Here on the West Coast the spring rains are aplenty and buds and blossoms are showing their delicate faces, and our thoughts turn to our gardens!  Here at We3 Designs we are not only interested in sustainability in fashion but in everything that we do which for us includes gardening and growing our own food.  My north facing window at home is now jammed with little containers of all sorts of sprouting goodies coming to life.  

Our east facing store front with the large overhang is another story though... Through the years we have tried all sorts of plants in our container to enliven the street and add some living green to our space but to little success.  So that is it.  This year I am aiming for success: Mint.

Many curse this tenacious weed as it has a tendency to take over but with any luck that is exactly what I'm hoping these little guys will do!

Now if I can only find that package of Bergamont seeds I bought last year we'll be in business for some tasty iced tea come summer...

Finding inspiration in the women of the late-sixties/early-seventies, second wave feminists, we pay homage to the free and playful spirit.  Creating our own existence; reaping what we sow; in-tune with our inner vision.  This revolutionary period allowed for a new freedom of artistic expression - bold, abstract and sculptural.  Due to a shifting political climate, an "anything goes" Art Scene emerged fuelled by phychadelics and rock&roll.  We3 uses the twist as a visual representation of this era's idiosyncratic and revelatory nature.

This season we used Shallom, artist, writer, and stylist as our model and true example of a living artist.
